Parliamentary Assistant

Sarah Champion MP is looking for a highly organised individual, who is enthusiastic about making positive change, to join her Westminster Team as a Parliamentary Assistant.

Working with the Research Manager, the Parliamentary Assistant will support with the running of a busy Westminster office, by conducting research, briefings, and providing administrative support.

Experience in Parliament or in a political environment is desirable.  

Please note this role will include evening and/or weekend work from time to time as agreed with the MP.

Upon appointment you will be required to apply for security clearance, undertaken by the Security Vetting and Pass Office. See Members’ Staff Security Clearance page for further info. MPs generally pay staff in accordance with IPSA guidelines.
