SARAH HELPS RAISE AWARENESS OF PUPPY SMUGGLING

DOGS TRUST, the UK's largest dog welfare charity, highlighted the UK's growing puppy smuggling problem at its annual House of Commons reception. Sarah attended the event and voiced her concerns. Following its initial report in November 2014, Dogs Trust conducted another investigative report focused on puppies travelling illegally into Britain under the Pet Travel Scheme (PETS). To emphasise how easily unethical dealers can bring under-age, sickly or undocumented puppies into Britain, MPs were surrounded by toy puppies that Dogs Trust had smuggled through Britain's ports to illustrate the ineffectiveness of patrols at the ports.
